Asea Irb6b Industrial Robot complete with gearmotors and feedback position sensors
Complete machine ready for action with electric drill
This robot looks very similar to the Asea robot featured in ModelPlan 70. It is much smaller however and the mechanisms have been changed.
It has been designed for computer control. The main features are that it works with powerful gearmotors obtained from meccanisms.com and has improved linear actuators for the shoulder and elbow motions which are sliding saddles moved by a chain drive. The result is a powerful smooth motion. The linkage to the shoulder and elbow joints have been improved as well as the coaxial drives via chain to the differentials at the wrist.
